Software compatibility:

Nero 7 Essentials (SPD903x):

For discs labelled SPD903x, containing Nero 7.5 and higher.

Your Nero version is Windows Vista compatible.

Nero 7 Essentials (SPD902x):

For discs labelled SPD902x, containing Nero 7.2, which is not Windows Vista compatbile.

1. Download the Windows Vista compliant version here (approx 180 MB)
2. Install this version on Vista.
3. When the serial number appears, click 'How to find the serial number'.
4. Insert your old Nero disc. When Windows Vista asks you what to to with this old disc, click cancel.
5. Click 'Check'.
6. Nero will find the Philips serial number from your old disc to allow you to use all functionality again.
7. Continue the installation.
8. Enjoy using Nero again!
In case you bought a plug-in for Nero (like the DVD-Video plugin), enter this serial number in the Nero product setup after installation.

Nero 6 (or older):

You will have to upgrade to Nero 7.
Nero advises to deinstall Nero 6 (or older) before upgrading to Windows Vista.
Do not install this version on a Windows Vista system. This may lead to unwanted behaviour.

Carry it Easy – Philips HDD Edition:
In order to use the Carry it Easy application on Windows Vista, please follow the steps described below:
1. Download the latest version of the application, compatible with the Windows Vista operating system.

2. Overwrite the old version of Carry it Easy from your external hard drive.
3. The new CarryItEasy.exe file will remain on your external hard drive in order to be able to use the application when you switch between different computers. Please always run the application from the external hard drive and not from your PC or your desktop.
Note: Please make sure that you have your previously purchased license key at hand so you can re-enter it in case the application asks you for it after you made the update.

Carry it Easy – Philips USB Flash Drive Edition:
1. If your Flash Drive is password protected with Carry it Easy, please start the old CarryItEasy.exe on your Flash Drive on a computer with the Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating system. Then, go to Security Settings, select “No Password Protection” and proceed. Now your USB Flash Drive will only have one partition. Please proceed to step 2 in order to upgrade to the new version compatible with Windows Vista.
2. If your Flash Drive is not password protected with Carry it Easy, simply download the latest version of the application, compatible with the Windows Vista operating system. Then, copy the new CarryItEasy.exe on your Flash Drive to replace the old one.

3. The new CarryItEasy.exe file will remain on your Flash Drive in order to be able to use the application when you switch between different computers. Please always run the application from the Flash Drive and not from your hard disk or your desktop.
