I have difficulties reading discs.

1. I can not read a disc anymore?
Several reasons can cause discs to be unreadable:
  • The disc has scratches: try Isobuster to recover as many files as possible. Sometimes it is a good idea to use several ReWriters for recovering.
  • The disc has fingerprints on it: clean the disc gently with a soft cloth, moving from the middle to the outside. Never clean in circles.
  • The disc was badly written (bad writing quality): Try using Isobuster to recover the data. Remember to burn a new disc containing the data you just recovered.

  • We advise to use the Philips Intelligent Agent to keep your Philips ReWriter up to date. Updating your ReWriter may solve some problems.

2. Reading is very slow.
This can be caused by the same reasons as in 1. Use the same solutions and if required burn your data on a new disc. We advise to use the Philips Intelligent Agent to keep your Philips ReWriter up to date. Updating your ReWriter may solve some problems.

3. Did you use a supported disc?
Not all ReWriters can read all types of discs. Use Nero Infotool to see which discs can be read.
